ARK VETERINARY PRACTICE

Ark Veterinary Practice is a busy mixed animal veterinary office seeking a compassionate and efficient team member to complement our medical team. The successful applicant will have great communication skills, be a team player and will be very competent in computer literacy, basic math and customer service. We are hoping to find a self starter who naturally multitasks and who takes initiative. The position will include working with a paperless custom computer system, assisting in surgeries and appointments, and becoming the patient care coordinator. Whilst this position is primarily a Veterinary Technician position it will not be limited to patient procedures and will give the individual the opportunity to interact with clients in the front office. All needed training will be provided. The suitable applicant must be comfortable with basic handling of small animals and be willing to work with exotics and large animals. Duties will include but not be limited to; anesthesiology, assisting in critical and emergency medicine and surgery, radiography, occasional on-call work, large, small and exotic animal dentistry, rigid endoscopy, ranch calls, follow-up calls and ultrasonography, all while providing excellent client and patient care. We are more interested in the character and skill set of the individual applicant and so availability can be flexible with 30-40+ hours a week. Our office hours are 7 am-7 pm M-F and 7 am -12 pm Saturdays. Experience in customer service, large animal and exotic animal handling, AVImark, Quickbooks, pharmacy, reception work, office management, the medical field, veterinary assisting and CVT/LAT/LVT will be a great advantage. Position will remain open until filled.

The successful applicant will complete a brief phone interview, be invited for an informal in-person interview and then complete a short working interview.
Pay dependent on experience and full benefits available after 6 months.
