On The Job Trained Individuals

Obtain a minimum of 4,500 hours of experience equivalent to that of a licensed veterinary technician
(hours must be under the supervision of a Montana Licensed Veterinarian)

What you need to do with the BSVTA:

There is nothing you need to do with the BSVTA regarding licensure.  You may wish to become a member to receive information on the licensure process, where to find study guides and VTNE practice tests, upcoming CE events as well as discounted pricing to those events.

What you need to do to with the Montana Board of Veterinary Medicine to become Licensed:

After 1/1/2023, you will need to visit this website and begin the licensing process. You will fill an application providing statements from all supervising Veterinarians as to your work experience.  You will then apply to sit for the VTNE and you will need to pass a Jurisprudence exam provided by the board.
